Call Sign Watch Co. · Born from aviation

You don't become a pilot by accident.

Every hour logged. Every checkride passed. Every decision made in the air. Flying demands something different of you. We built Call Sign for people who understand that.

Designed by a pilot. Shaped by 1,847 pilots. Made for every day.

The watch that started it all

Two time zones. One clear purpose.

The Discovery was designed around a simple idea: seeing local and Zulu time shouldn't require another hand, a crowded dial, or a complicated watch. Our signature crescent window displays a second time zone on a 24-hour scale, while traditional hands show your local time. One glance. Both times. No unnecessary complexity. And with a slim profile, sapphire crystal, stainless steel construction, and a design that feels just as appropriate away from the airport, it's the kind of watch you'll actually want to wear every day.

It started with a question

What do pilots actually want in a watch?

It seemed simple enough. But as a commercial pilot and flight instructor, our founder, Beau Garrett, had spent years around watches that claimed to be made for aviation. Many were oversized. Overcomplicated. Built around features that looked impressive but didn't necessarily make life in the cockpit any easier.

So rather than designing another watch based on what pilots were supposed to want, Beau asked them. Their feedback shaped a clear direction: a watch that displays local and Zulu time without complication, wears comfortably, stands up to everyday use, and looks as good after landing as it does in the air. That became the Discovery. And it became the beginning of Call Sign.

Fit

38mm or 42mm?

Both sizes share the same dial layout, the same crescent GMT display and the same 11.3mm profile. The 42mm is the original; the 38mm is the same watch scaled for a smaller wrist. Compare the two cases at actual size below.

Engraving

Some numbers mean more than others.

Your first solo. Your checkride. The day you earned your certificate. Aviation has a way of making certain moments stay with you. Personalize your Discovery with your Airmen Certificate number, initials, or a meaningful date on the caseback. Not because anyone else needs to see it. Because you know what it means.

Personalize your Discovery

Engraving is optional and complimentary on Discovery models: two lines of up to 16 characters each, added on the product page. Engraved watches are not eligible for returns or exchanges. Refer to the applicable product terms before purchase.

One origin. Three distinct watches.

Find the one that fits your journey.

Different styles. Different movements. The same belief that a watch should be purposeful, comfortable, and unmistakably yours.

Built for the way you live

Flying is part of your life. Your watch should be part of all of it.

A good pilot watch needs to perform in the cockpit. A great one shouldn't feel out of place anywhere else. At Call Sign, we believe purposeful design means knowing what to include, and what to leave out. Clean lines. Comfortable proportions. Thoughtful functionality. A watch you wear because you like it, not just because you're flying.

Beautiful Watch - Great Construction

As a military instructor pilot, I have been looking for a beautiful analog watch that displays zulu time at a quick glance. This watch is subtle but brilliant on the wrist, and I have already received several compliments. The packaging and engraving on the back are both fantastic.

Great watch for everyday wear

It's tough, durable and easy to read but still sharp enough to go from an afternoon at the shop to a nice dinner out. I get more comments on this watch than I do on my real "pilot watch." Form follows function with the Discovery Classic, and the elegance is in the simplicity.

A Perfect Gift

I received my Bravo Golf watch as a gift. I am impressed by the detail and craftsmanship of the watch. Finding my pilot certificate number on the back added extra excitement. The zulu time feature is easy to read and stylish, making adjustments for time zone changes is easy as well.

Who is Call Sign

A brand with its own flight plan

Built from aviation. Moving beyond it.

Call Sign began with a question asked of pilots. It grew through conversations at airshows, relationships with customers, and the belief that watches can mark the moments that matter. From our original Discovery to a collaboration with the Wright family and new chapters in American watchmaking, every step has reinforced what we believed from the start: the best products have a purpose behind them. And the best brands mean something to the people who choose them.

  1. 01

    Founded by a commercial pilot

Beau Garrett flew commercially and taught Navy and Air Force officers to fly before he designed a watch.

The brand understands the cockpit because it came out of one.

  2. 02

    Informed by 1,847 pilots

The original Discovery was designed from 1,847 pilots' survey responses, not from what a pilot watch was supposed to be.

Local and Zulu at a glance, a slim case, and nothing you don't need.

  3. 03

    Made with the Wright family

The Wright Brothers Series is licensed through The Wright Brothers USA and was endorsed by the Wright family.

The history on the caseback is real, and the family stands behind it.

  4. 04

    WatchPro 2026 finalist

American Watch Brand of the Year finalist, WatchPro USA Awards 2026.

An independent brand measured against the American watch industry.

Questions

What makes the Discovery different from other GMT watches?

The Discovery uses a crescent-shaped, 24-hour GMT display integrated into the dial beneath the 12. You can reference a second time zone at a glance without the additional central GMT hand used in traditional designs. The movement is a Swiss Ronda GMT quartz.

Is the Discovery available in different sizes?

Yes. The Discovery is offered in 38mm and 42mm cases. Both retain the signature dual-time display and the same 11.3mm profile. Choose the size that best matches your wrist and preferred fit; the sizing aid on this page shows both cases at actual size when printed.

Can I engrave my pilot certificate number?

Yes. Personalized caseback engraving is complimentary on Discovery models: two lines of up to 16 characters each, added on the product page before checkout. Use your certificate number, initials, a call sign or a date. Engraved watches cannot be returned or exchanged.

Do I have to be a pilot to wear Call Sign?

Not at all. Call Sign began in aviation, but our watches are made for people from all walks of life who appreciate purpose, thoughtful design, and the moments that shape who they become.

Where are Call Sign watches made?

Call Sign watches are designed and assembled in the United States using domestic and internationally sourced components; the Discovery's movement, for example, is Swiss. Specific movement and component details are listed on each product page.

How soon does a watch ship?

In-stock orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days, and engraved Discovery watches ship within 2 to 5 business days. The Cadre is made to order; its shipping timing is shown at checkout. We do not ship on weekends or holidays.

What are the warranty and return policies?

Every Call Sign watch carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Unengraved watches may be returned within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in their original packaging. Engraved and personalized watches cannot be returned or exchanged. Full warranty, battery service, return and shipping terms are on the policy pages linked below; consult them before purchase.
